Calke Abbey’s Fine Food Fair returns this Sunday.

Visitors are invited to taste and buy from a delicious line-up of locally-grown, raised, baked and caught delicacies – all sourced within a 30-minute radius of the National Trust estate in Ticknall.

Chefs from Calke Abbey will also be cooking up some tasty dishes with the freshest local ingredients.

There will be new additions to the line-up from Linton’s Sealwood Cottage Vineyard, which harvests and produces English wine, and handmade fudge company Love Fudge.

Calke spokesman Philip Bittner said: “Visitors will be able to taste their way around the exhibits with lots of nibbles to sample before buying anything. The biggest problem will be knowing when to stop and avoid spoiling your appetite for tea time.”

The restaurant will also be serving up fresh meals and snacks, making the event a real culinary celebration.

The Fine Food Fair will be hosted in the Riding School from 11am to 3.30pm. Normal park admission and parking charges will apply and no booking is necessary.
